BHI Training Series: Enhancing Documentation, Coding & Billing Practices

This 2-hour training session will cover clinical documentation protocol, professional coding rules, insurance payer requirements, quality metric reporting, and diagnostic coding for BHI, including ICD 10-CM guidelines for coding and reporting to optimize integrated behavioral health revenue cycle integrity. The training will provide an overview of CPT, HCPCS-II, and ICD-10-CM codes commonly used in behavioral health and shared with primary care, discuss the treatment of substance/opioid use disorders through medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) in both primary care and behavioral health settings, and describe sample CMS covered preventive services that integrate medical and behavioral health. The session will also dive into evaluation and management (E/M) services, covering E/M documentation protocols, compares telehealth and virtual communication services, provides an overview of care management services, and discusses Principal/Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care Management, Behavioral Health Integration (BHI), and Psychiatric Collaborative Care Model services. 

 

Presenter:
