Visiting Specialist Rounds: Growth/FTT and Formulas/Formula Concentration

Recognize the clinical indicators of growth faltering/failure to thrive (FTT) and distinguish between normal growth variation and concerning growth patterns.
Apply a systematic approach to the evaluation and management of infants and children with growth concerns, including nutritional assessment and identification of underlying medical causes.
Implement safe and effective formula selection and concentration strategies to optimize caloric intake and support appropriate growth in pediatric patients.
Presenter information: Nicole Aucoin, MS, RD, LDN, CNSC is a registered dietitian with both adult and pediatric experience, mostly in the inpatient population. Her current role is at Boston Children's Hospital. She works in the cardiac intensive care unit and manages enteral and parenteral nutrition plans for patients with age ranges from infancy to young adults.
