Quality for Teens Change Package: Improving Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health

 

  This interactive learning session will feature the Quality for Teens Change Package- a quality improvement  guide developed collaboratively with the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), Cicatelli Associates Inc (CAI) and health center partners with support from the CDC.  The session will include an overview of the change package as well as an interview with Glorimar Irizarry, Women’s Health Program Lead at Holyoke Health Center.  There will also be a review of state policies impacting confidentiality and interactive breakout groups.  Participants will have the opportunity to discuss key change strategies for high quality adolescent sexual and reproductive health including confidentiality and protected time and same day access to services.

Learning Objectives:  After this learning session participants will:

  • Name the purpose of the Quality for Teens Change Package, its components and how to access it
  • Identify resources through the Change Package and Upstream that can support adolescent contraceptive care at your health center
  • Identify at least one strategy to improve adolescent health at your center 

Suggested Participants: Initiative champion, quality improvement directors, school-based health center staff, and any member of the care team who works with teens and adolescents. Participants in this learning collaborative may be at any stage of Upstream partnership; from just beginning contracting to fully launched.
