Good afternoon Contraceptive Access Champions,
Pleas join us for Upstream Learning Session 9 on Thursday, October 31st from 12:00-1:00 pm. The session is titled, Maintaining Contraceptive Access: Best Practices for Training and Onboarding New Hires amid Staff Transition and Turnover.
Topic & Featured Speakers: Staff turnover and transition is an inevitable reality in community health centers. This session will explore strategies and resources health center staff can utilize to maintain competency in contraceptive care and ensure patient access amid transition. The session will feature a review of Upstream tools and resources designed to support training and onboarding of new hires as well as maintain competency of existing staff. Health Center staff will also share tips, tricks, and best practices for maintaining contraceptive access amid transition.
Suggested Participants: Initiative champion, quality improvement directors, and members of the care team involved in hiring and training. Participants in this learning collaborative may be at any stage of Upstream partnership; from just beginning contracting to post graduation.
Learning Objectives: After this learning session participants will:
- Name Upstream resources available for health center staff to support continuity of contraceptive care
- Learn about health center strategies for onboarding and training new employees
- Identify at least one strategy to ensure continuity of contraceptive care at your health center.
