This is the third session in a three-part series.
We would like as many health centers to be represented as possible, but the training is limited to 40 people. With that in mind, please register no more than 2 staff per health center. If more than 2 per health center register, we will reach out and ask you to decide who is a priority to attend.
There will be a waitlist, so please let us know if you are no longer able to attend.
Justice System Overview 101:
- Identify ones’ own assumptions and biases regarding criminal legal involvement and treatment thereof.
- Learn the overview of the MA court system.
- Learn the differences in jails/prisons, as well as probation/parole.
- Learn some of the specialized diversionary programs available in MA.
- Recognize the connection between substance use and criminal legal involvement.
- Apply strategies to reduce the stigma around justice involved populations.
