We are excited to invite you to the Measles in Focus: Epidemiology, Trends, and Prevention Strategies webinar taking place on June 24th from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. This informative session will feature Dr. Angela Fowler from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Grazielle Lopez from DotHouse Health.  

Content: During this webinar, participants will receive an overview of the basic epidemiology of measles, including its mode of transmission, incubation period, clinical presentation, and complications, and discuss the current measles incidence and trends in the United States, with a focus on recent outbreaks and contributing factors. Additionally, Dr. Fowler will explain the CDC and Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines for measles prevention, including vaccination schedules and outbreak response strategies and participants will learn about the Measles Exposure Management Protocol at DotHouse Health. 

Presenters: Angela Fowler, MD, MPH is the Associate Medical Director for Vaccine Preventable Diseases at the Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health State Public Health Laboratory. Grazielle Lopez is the Employee Health & Infection Control Program Manager at DotHouse Health.  

Target Audience: This webinar is suitable for health center staff working on infection control management.
