Join us for a conversation with former Rep. Marie St. Fleur on how women’s rights have shaped our society.

Marie St. Fleur is a trailblazing former Massachusetts State Representative and a respected public policy leader with over 30 years of experience in early education, workforce development, and social justice. She was the first Haitian American elected to state office in the U.S. and the first woman Vice Chair of the House Committee on Ways and Means. During her eleven-year legislative career, she championed education reform, economic equity, and support for underserved communities.

As President and CEO of a statewide nonprofit, she led the successful Put MA Kids First coalition and launched the state’s first Early Education Small Business Innovation Center. A passionate advocate and speaker, her work has been featured in media outlets such as WCVB, WGBH, Boston Magazine, and Commonwealth Magazine. A recipient of the Boston Business Journal’s 2014 Women Up award, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Dorchester Boys and Girls Club and Nativity Preparatory School, continuing her mission to dismantle systemic barriers and uplift marginalized voices.
