This is the second session in a three-part series.
We would like as many health centers to be represented as possible, but the training is limited to 40 people. With that in mind, please register no more than 2 staff per health center. If more than 2 per health center register, we will reach out and ask you to decide who is a priority to attend.
There will be a waitlist, so please let us know if you are no longer able to attend.
Day in the life of incarcerated populations:
- Understand how healthcare is accessed in jails and prisons.
- Learn the clinical resources available within justice settings.
- Discover ways individuals access medications while incarcerated in various settings.
- Learn medical and behavioral health interventions set up within justice settings.
- Identify supports and resources for people with severe and persistent mental illness while in justice settings.
- Gather strategies for reducing stigma related to mental illness while in custody.
- Understand auditing protocols that are in place within justice settings.
Recognize the importance of access to insurance and connection to care prior to community reentry.
